This new educational facility, spanning 210,000 square feet over six, multi story buildings, accommodates students from kindergarten through the 12th grade. The 85 classrooms and associated faculty spaces were served by VAV air handlers with dedicated outside air systems to ensure comfortable, fresh air for the students and staff. The administrative areas are cooled by VRF systems to allow year round conditioning, while student buildings are unoccupied. Special design considerations were given to the two gymnasiums, cafeteria and kitchen and the CTAE building, which included specialized labs for welding, woodworking, art, and agriculture. Plumbing maintenance is simplified with point-of-use water heaters and zoned domestic water supply. The 75 horsepower fire water pump and 5 sprinkler zones ensure that the completely sprinklered facility is covered in the event of a fire.
